I’m Martina and one thing has always terrified me:
writing in another language.
That's why I work as a copywriter on another continent.
I think this says a lot about me.
When something scares me, I dive into it, I run towards it.
‘Cause I hate to stay scared. And because to me, it's the clear sign
that I'm passionate about that thing.
Traveling makes me passionate. Creating my own corner in a place
where I felt out of place. Looking for the right word in a place
where I don’t speak a word. Creating cultural products
for cultures that are not mine.
Simply doing what I already do: being a copywriter abroad.
Sounds cheesy af? Okay. I take it. And sometimes I proudly am.
But, the truth is inevitably cheesy when your job allows you
to nurture your biggest passion: Digging into other cultures
so deeply that you end up being part of them.
